She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Iris has experience working with individuals in a variety of life stages, from college students to older adults. Iris helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, childhood and generational trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions, creating a supportive space where they can heal, grow, and build lasting resilience.
As a Latina therapist, Iris understands the importance of providing culturally responsive care and creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether clients are balancing family expectations, exploring their identity, or coping with life’s challenges, she strives to provide compassionate support that honors each person’s unique experiences and values.
Iris takes a collaborative, nonjudgmental approach to therapy, believing that every client is the expert on their own life. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed practices to tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and goals. Her focus is on helping clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and foster lasting emotional well-being.
Outside of the therapy room, Iris enjoys reading thrillers, watching game shows and reality television, and spending quality time with her family.
